Overheard at a cancer center this week: "I'm going to ring that bell, and then run like hell!", followed by a loud eruption of laughter from everyone within earshot. If laughter is the best medicine then everyone got a good dose of it that day!
The "Ring the Chemo Bell" ceremony is practiced at most cancer centers worldwide. It signifies a patient's FINAL chemotherapy or radiation treatment, and is cause for great celebration for the patient and their loved ones. It brings feelings of hope and optimism to others who are courageously undergoing their own treatments.
This was the inspiration for our latest design which is now being rolled out across all cancer categories at The Gift MD:
